Lead Professionals Workshop hosted by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Healthy Homes Section is a free workshop! This workshop takes place the day prior to the MCDA Annual Conference, both at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bay City, MI. there are networking events available through MCDA for that evening.

The lead professional’s workshop is open to anyone that would like to attend. Current lead professionals, MCDA members, community agencies, landlords or homeowners. The workshop is aimed to provide information regarding the Lead Safe Home Program. Specifically who qualifies, how to fill out an application, and becoming a contractor for the Program. The lead inspection/risk assessment report is crucial to any home prior to 1978. The report identifies lead-based paint hazards or potential hazards, information necessary to prevent lead contamination during a residential remodel. The lead abatement segment will assist any individual with understanding the basic precautions for preventing lead contamination. The certification and compliance assistance will focus on current and potential lead professionals.
